Resilience Learning Activity (RLA)

The Resilience Learning Activity (RLA) is a five-year, USAID-funded initiative (2019-2024).

It supports regional, national, and local organizations and institutions in Northern Kenya; Somalia, and the Horn of Africa, to undertake analysis while strengthening their capacities for analytics; facilitating learning for adaptive management; and improving knowledge management and communication to align with USAID’s Journey to Self-Reliance and the Horn of Africa Resilience Framework.

In Kenya, RLA provides backbone support as PREG Learning to the Partnership for Resilience and Economic Growth (PREG) 2.0 to build on progress made within the partnership at the county and national level. PREG 2.0 brings together 38 USAID implementing partners in the region, including Kenya’s National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), nine-county governments, and local partners to coordinate resilience and economic growth activities and streamline USAID’s investments. To achieve this, RLA/PREG Learning takes on the role of lead learning partner to guide and facilitate PREG 2.0 partners, ensuring evidence-based learning, analytics, and adaptive management to partners and county governments alike.
